Any recommendations on type? Are the silent holders good or bad?

I use 1. I don't like alot in my front pockets when working. I used to just dangle em from a keeper. Till 1 night a buddy told me after a call that he could hear me moving at any speed faster than a walk. Course I got plenty of waistline to put things on too.

I don't keep any keys on my belt except my hide away cuff key. All other keys are kept in my bag until I need them. You can always hear the janitors as they come down a quiet alley. Yes it is not as convenient as having the keys with you but I like to suprise people in compromising situations.
My 2 cents worth.

X2, and I catch hell for it but I have something that I keep pocket change in too. Coins rattle and make noise as well. Noise and light procedures have followed from the military to my civilian career

I carry 1 of those, got a name for it not used in mixed company:wink:
They're getting hard to find nowadays.

Back when we took the key out of the car, I also had a keeper that was made like a small scabbard. Just right for sticking a key.

I don't use a key holder. I keep a cuff key on my keeper and that doesn't rattle. My car key goes in my back pocket and I don't have anything else for keys.

Key holders are for janitors. I put my keys in my pockets.
