I'm currently going through the LE academy through SAC and I've found that the Victoria college website has a lot of practice tests, etc. that are quite useful to help prepare for the TCLEOSE test.

When I was in the academy I heard some guys who used these kinds of sites and practice tests. They often have obscure questions that you would not THINK would be on the TCLEOSE test...until you see them on the test!

I prepped for mine with a Barron's or Kaplan book. I can't recall which. It had some old NYPD tests in the back to practice on. The book test was WAY longer than the real test, but the stuff in the book was pretty similar to the real stuff on the test.

I bought one of those books on your recommendation but haven't really gone through it yet.

Make sure you buy a Texas specific one. One from NYPD or any other agency will have squat to do with ours. I am sure you are smart enough to figure that out but I'm not saying....I'm just sayin!

Do a search for TCLOSE practice tests. I found several versions available and can guarantee that some of the questions that you see will be on the actual exam. I know when I tested about 1/3 if not more of the questions came right off of the practice exams.

I didn't know you boys in Texas had to take a test. I thought you just had to know the Sheriff, own a rifle and chew tebaccy.
