 Hey everyone, I am doing a research paper for college and am having a hard time finding statistics on police pursuits. National or state level. Particuilary im looking for how many deaths were a direct cause to a high speed pursuit and how many recored pursuits there were. Not exactly sure where to look and google isnt being a friend right now. Any information would help. Thanks

USDOJ Keeps records on everything. YOU might have to file a Freedom of Information request as some of the data is still in litigation. I will look around and get back to you.

Appreciate Ferret, I found a FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin that discussed the number is never very accurate but estimates around 400 people a year are killed in result of a police pursuit.

I have not seen stats recently. FBI or DOJ might have them. FBI keeps stats on everything.
