4.5 inch tube and the standard XD 45,13 rd mags.

It looks pretty good. I am a bi-tone kind of guy (silver over black) but I will be hitting the shops when this thing finally hits stores this Summer.http://www.armyparatrooper.org/dropzone/images/smilies/newsmilies/headbang.gif

I am afraid that once I get one, I will be hooked and have to get the matching set.:freak:

Don't know. I would bet $649 or $699.

Shape, trigger, barrel, grip.
Only thing same is magazine and some internals.

The M also comes with massive magazines. The most impressive being a 19+1 for the 9mm, IIRC.

you can get 19 round MecGar mags for the XD9 too.

Does the XDm45 and XD45 use the same mags? THought all the XDm series were different from the XDs

Yes.
The XDm series enjoys larger capacity mags in 9mm and .40 but they figured 13 rds is pretty damn good for a .45 so they kept mags the same.I like them personally.
